The Skinny Turbo just got a serious upgrade. The Rocket is our next-generation full-suspension e-MTB — built on the same lightweight aluminum platform Kiwis have come to trust, now with a proper trail-ready suspension package, a more capable drivetrain, and the power to match.
Under the hood is a Bafang M560 mid-drive motor paired with a Samsung 52V 17.5Ah battery, giving you strong, natural-feeling assistance whether you’re grinding up the Port Hills or clocking commuter kilometres. Up front, a RockShox Yari fork with 170mm of travel and DebonAir technology soaks up the rough stuff, backed by a RockShox Deluxe rear shock for a genuinely plush ride. Shimano’s 11-speed CUES drivetrain and 2-finger hydraulic disc brakes mean shifting and stopping are smooth and predictable in any conditions.
Wide 29″/27.5″ Maxxis Recon tyres, a dropper post, and a full-suspension aluminum frame round out a bike that’s equally happy on singletrack or the daily commute. If you loved the Skinny Turbo, the Rocket is the same reliable, ready-for-anything spirit — just with more travel, more power, and more capability.
