Warranty Policy – Thunder Volt Ltd T/A BuzzBike.nz
Thunder Volt Ltd T/A BuzzBike.nz (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a limited warranty for all e-bikes sold, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. Warranty Coverage
All bikes are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 24 months from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies to the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable.
2. Exclusions from Warranty
This warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear (e.g., tires, brake pads, chains).
Damage or failure caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or modifications.
Damage resulting from water immersion, corrosion, or exposure to elements beyond standard use.
Labour costs associated with repairs unless explicitly covered and approved by Thunder Volt Ltd.
Any issue arising from improper assembly by the customer or third party (unless authorized by us).
3. Warranty Claim Process
In the event of a suspected defect:
You must notify us as soon as possible by contacting our support team.
The defective part must be returned to us for inspection to assess warranty eligibility.
Thunder Volt Ltd reserves the right to either repair or replace the defective part or product at our sole discretion.
In some cases, you may be required to install the replacement part yourself. Our modular drive systems and bike design make most repairs straightforward.
4. Freight Coverage
For bikes purchased online and delivered directly:
Freight for warranty-related claims will be covered by Thunder Volt Ltd for a period of up to 3 months from the date of purchase.
After 3 months, any shipping or freight costs associated with warranty claims will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
5. Ongoing Maintenance
Our e-bikes are designed to be reliable and easy to maintain. However, like all bicycles and e-bikes, regular servicing and care are essential for optimal performance. We strongly encourage customers to learn basic bicycle maintenance or develop a relationship with a trusted local bike shop.
While every effort is made to ensure that each bike matches the specifications and images shown at the time of purchase, we reserve the right to make minor substitutions due to ongoing product development (e.g., changes to carriers or handgrips). We will communicate such changes when possible.
Exchange Policy
Please choose your products carefully. Due to the nature of our business, we are unable to offer exchanges or returns once an order has been delivered, unless:
We have made a genuine error in the product description.
The request falls within your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act (New Zealand).
If you believe you are entitled to an exchange under these conditions, please contact us as soon as possible. We assess all claims on a case-by-case basis.
